Blog > Things to Avoid After Applying for a Mortgage

A mortgage is one of the most important things needed before buying a home. And there are several key things to avoid doing once you’ve applied for a mortgage
1. Don’t deposit any cash into your bank accounts before speaking with your banker or your loan officer, just leave it alone.
2. Don’t make any large purchases. Don’t go buy a new car or any furniture for your house.
3. Whatever you do. Don’t co-sign anybody else’s loan. Not until you’re done closing.
4. Don’t change bank accounts.
5. Don’t apply for any new credit.
6. Don’t close any credit account.
The best plan fully disclose and discuss your intentions with your loan officer before you do anything with money or credit.
Now, if you’re ready to go ahead and purchase, let’s go ahead and connect.
