Hi everybody! If you’re looking for some really good trails to walk and hike and get some exercise in the Sebastian and Vero Beach area, keep watching, this is the video for you!
Hi, guys, I’m Tonya Coletti and this is my husband Zachary Coletti, we’re local real Realtors here and Broker Associates too. Yeah, congratulations Zac just passed his Broker’s exam yesterday morning in record time!
This week there are two of our best trails in the Vero Beach and Sebastian area. Welcome back to the channel or welcome to the channel if this is your first time. Be sure to subscribe, hit that button right there, hit the like button if you want more of these videos. If you want to be notified when we do release these videos, we try to do it every Thursday, every Friday. We’re doing everything we can to make that happen so without further adieu, let’s get to it.
Today, where are we, Tonya? We are in Sebastian StormWater park. This is a 163-acre parcel. This park is pretty cool, it’s double duty and I like this multi-use purpose. This park was designed initially for the stormwater runoff. If you can see behind me it looks like a lake. This is a holding area and one of the many holding areas in this Stormwater park. You’re going to see some drones and what happens is the storm water comes here and all it’s designed so all the contaminants like you know, lawn clippings and fertilizers and all those kinds of things, sink or stay here or retained here. So they don’t go out into our waterways so that’s cool, I mean it’s a neat purpose I was just gonna say on that note, with that being said, if you catch a fish here which you’re welcome to do, don’t eat it. It’s got three eyes and if you eat it you might get three eyes too!
The second thing is hiking, if you look around we’re gonna have some footage here and you’re gonna see some hiking trails. This thing is loaded with hiking trails and they’re smooth and easy to walk. People come here with their strollers and their dogs. You can even ride a bike up and down on some of these trails. It’s pretty neat. This is a great place. This is one of my favorite places in Sebastian. It’s super chill because it’s such a big space. You know it never feels crowded or busy. There’s a couple of entrances. We parked right here at the entrance off of Engler. It’s probably the closest street you’re going to find pinewood flat scrubs. There are a few wetlands we don’t go to in those. If you live in Florida and have any clue, then you just stay out of that area, stick to the trails which are totally safe.
There’s a couple of benches here and there so you can take a chill and rest. Yeah and it’s just a really pretty great place to fly a kite with the kids because it’s just so open.
Yeah, maybe we should show them around the park a little bit. There is probably the tallest point in Sebastian and here in this park, as well. So if you’re looking for a little incline, we try to ride our bikes up there with the kids. You’re talking about the hill? Yeah! Okay we’ll walk over to the hill and we’ll show you what she’s talking about and then we’re gonna go on to the next one so this is number one for the day and then we’re going to show you Hardee Park number two so stay tuned.
All right! Okay, everybody all of a sudden here we are at Hardee park in Sebastian, Florida! This is really kind of in the heart of Sebastian. Tell us about the park? It’s right off of Barber Street. This is actually one of my favorite parks. It’s such a great park for exercise. They’ve got a little playground for the kiddos, it’s a loop that’s half a mile long so it’s easy to keep track of your distance and they’ve got like about a dozen workout stations.
You can come and walk your dog, walk your cat, walk your rabbit whatever you have. Do you walk your cat? I’ve seen some people walk their cats a few times. You got picnic tables here, you’ve got little benches. I mean gorgeous scenery, you’re gonna see some beautiful drone footage here, we’ve got a canal that surrounds the corner of the park, so it’s really pretty. There are a couple of great homes for sale right along this canal with the view of Hardee park. We love it! It’s super family pet friendly, just pick up after your dog poop, please.
There are little fitness stations along this half-mile trail and I don’t know how far they are apart from each other but they’re far enough apart from each other where you can get a workout in. You can kind of catch your breath while you’re doing a walk and then go to the next one and hit it pretty hard, and it’s really cool. I mean it’s a great place to come and get a workout, especially on a day like today. During this time of year, it’s perfect. The weather is gorgeous, not too hot, just a nice breeze, great time to do that. Those little stations include things like you know the pull-up bars, sit-up stations. Come check it out for yourself and let us know what you think about all the little fitness stations and how many you’ve tackled.
